The new Weitzman Shoe Museum, which opened on 18 June 2026 at The New York Historical in Manhattan, explores those stories through the collection assembled by Stuart Weitzman and Jane Gershon Weitzman. Located within the institution's new Tang Wing for American Democracy, designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA) and Sam Anderson Architects, the museum presents footwear as both fashion and cultural history.

Meyvaert designed, produced and installed three custom museum showcases for the permanent gallery, continuing a collaboration with The New York Historical that began in 2016.
