"Genghis Khan, how Mongols changed the world: a unique exhibition presented at the Château des ducs de Bretagne - musée d'histoire de Nantes, displayed within the range of our Meyvaert Modular Showcases!"

This exhibition is the first in France dedicated to one of the greatest conquerors in history: Genghis Khan. From the plains of Mongolia to the southernmost regions of China, from the Pacific Ocean to the far reaches of the Middle East, Genghis Khan and his Mongolian army built an immense empire during the 13th century AD.

The exhibition, showcasing objects from the 1st to the 14th century from Mongolia's national collections -including many national treasures- along with contributions from major French and European museums, provides a remarkable glimpse into the history of Genghis Khan's vast empire.

The museum repurposed the showcases from their 2022 exhibition to display the magnificent exhibition "Indes, reflets des mondes sacrés". These Modular Showcases, being storable and demountable, demonstrate their remarkable flexibility in assembly and layout, perfectly adapting to the demands of temporary exhibitions. They facilitate unique scenographies and narratives, simultaneously maintaining a superior standard of presentation and preservation for the extraordinary works displayed.

"Genghis Khan, how Mongols changed the world" exhibition is to be discovered at the Château des ducs de Bretagne - musée d'histoire de Nantes until May 5th, 2024.
