Six decades of deep dedication. Six centuries of ceramic craftmanship.

Brazilian engineer Renato de Albuquerque shares his love for Chinese ceramics in the exhibition "Connections" by the Foundation named after him. The Fundação Renato de Albuquerque holds a colourful collection of almost 2600 pieces of culturally, historically and artistically relevant ceramics. This majestic result is the outcome of Renato de Albuquerque devoting sixty years of his life to his passion for the magical imagery of Chinese ceramics, a history that spans more than six hundred years. Almost three hundred artworks can now be admired by the public in a new exhibition space, equipped with custom showcases by Meyvaert.

A mosaic of different times and places, peoples and cultures, motifs and styles illustrate the complex history of Chinese ceramics, speaking a language that is understood, appreciated, and adopted all over the world. These stories transcend cultural, political and spiritual boundaries, and we couldn’t be prouder to play a part in translating them into an engaging display that speaks to all of us.
