Temporary, evolving, and traveling exhibitions require adaptable solutions. The Modular Table Case is developed for exactly that purpose. When planning an exhibition, designers and exhibition managers can use their creativity in shaping their gallery layout, without being restricted by a fixed setup.
A single display case measures 1200 x 700 mm with a glass hood available in two heights: 250 mm or 400 mm. The sliding glass hood opens 60% of the total width, providing 730 mm of access for a single case and 1460 mm for a double case, ensuring sufficient space for handling larger objects. The modular cases can easily be connected, forming a longer case that allows you to create the exact length and volume needed for your artefact or collection, with the flexibility to later adjust the size to fit a new exhibition layout.
As your exhibitions evolve, additional showcase elements such as base cladding or retrofit lighting, can be added over time. More details are available in the options section of the brochure that you can download on this page.
Sustainable & Reusable
Temporary exhibitions often require custom-made showcases that become obsolete once the exhibition ends. The Modular Table Case addresses this issue by offering a reusable and adaptable solution, making it one of the most sustainable showcase options available.
Beyond its reusability, the Modular Table Case incorporates several sustainable features:
- Constructed from steel, aluminum, and glass, all of which can be recycled.
- Components are procured from suppliers committed to reducing emissions.
- Final assembly takes place in our Belgian green factory, which is primarily powered by solar energy and employs water recycling processes.
Minimum maintenance is required: the seals, rails, and locks should only be inspected every 5 years. A complete user and maintenance manual is provided to ensure longevity and ease of care.
Present
LIGHTING
Each exhibition can be displayed at its best with the optional LED goal post. This flexible lighting system complies with the highest museum quality requirements. The LED goal post can rotate around its axis which will enable you to precisely illuminate the objects. It can also be easily removed and reinstalled between exhibitions.
COLOR & FINISH
The Modular Table Case features a RAL 9005 Black Zero Matte powder coating, a finish engineered for durability across all Meyvaert products. This coating has a low Light Reflectance Value (LRV) to minimize glare while offering high resistance to scratches. Custom colors and finishes are available upon request.
GLASS
To enhance visual clarity, the case is fitted with low-iron (extra-white) laminated glass, which reduces the slight green tint found in standard glass. An optional anti-reflective (low-reflective) coating on the glass is available. This coating strongly reduces distracting light reflections and improves the appearance and color rendering of the objects. To create a seamless effect, the glass panels are mitred and bonded with either black or translucent silicone. The black silicone eliminates all green tints visible at the side of the glass.
CONVENIENT FOR ALL AUDIENCES
Special attention has been given to wheelchair users and children. The case design, with space between the supporting legs and a low glass hood (the 250 mm version), ensures an inclusive viewing experience, allowing all visitors to fully admire the objects inside.
Preserve
To meet the highest levels of conservation requirements and to maintain a stable relative humidity environment inside the case for the objects, the Meyvaert Standard Table showcase is equipped with an externally accessible, lockable silica gel compartment. The compartment can hold 1 full-size silica gel cassette, which can be replaced without disturbing the display environment. The 5 mm ventilation gap around the case perimeter supports effective passive ventilation.
For locations or objects requiring specific humidity levels, we offer an optional invisible fan module for enhanced air exchange between the silica gel compartment and the display volume.
Other conservation features include the following:
- All materials and finishes used inside the case are neutral and have been Oddy tested by an external accredited laboratory.
- The case has an air exchange rate of less than 0,1 or 10% per day, ensuring a stable interior climate
- The laminated glass filters up to 99,9% of UV light.
Protect
The Modular Table Case is equipped with 11.5 mm anti-bandit laminated glass, composed of two 5 mm float glass layers with a 1.34 mm PVB interlayer.
The glass hood can be opened by removing one or both side glasses and sliding the glass hood. The side glasses are secured with both a mechanical and a security lock, discreetly located below the case to reduce the risk of tampering.
The silica gel compartment can be accessed separately from below and can be locked with an Abloy lock. This ensures that even when the silica gel compartment is open, the displayed objects remain secure.
