The National Medal of Honor Museum, located in Arlington, Texas, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacy of the Medal of Honor and its recipients. Guided by the core values of Courage, Sacrifice, Commitment, Integrity, Citizenship, and Patriotism, the museum aims to educate and inspire visitors through immersive exhibits and storytelling. As part of a broader initiative that includes a national monument and a leadership institute, the museum stands as a tribute to those who have demonstrated extraordinary bravery in the service of others.
Meyvaert was entrusted with the design, production, and installation of 90 museum showcases to display the museum’s prestigious collection. The project involved a variety of case types, including semi-recessed wall cases, table-recessed cases, freestanding cases, and wall-mounted displays. Several cases have a brushed aluminium finish.
Meyvaert’s collaboration with Kubik Maltbie was instrumental in ensuring a smooth and efficient installation process. Thanks to clear and proactive coordination, all necessary information and preparations were completed in advance, allowing the team to work efficiently once the cases arrived.
The result is an exhibition space that seamlessly integrates a variety of showcase designs, providing optimal viewing conditions while preserving and protecting the valuable artifacts on display. With a strong emphasis on durability, security, and aesthetic excellence, the showcases contribute to the museum’s mission of honoring the nation’s heroes and educating future generations.
